EIG co-founder Steve Glickman starts opportunity zones investment consulting firm

Steve Glickman, one of the lead architects of the opportunity zones legislation, has left EIG to start an opportunity zones investment consulting firm.

According to their press release, Washington DC-based Develop Advisors “will advise fund managers, investors, project developers, and communities on fund strategy, structure and compliance, investor relations and outreach, pipeline development, and guidance around marketing and government relations.”

Bloomberg reports:

His new company, Develop, will provide advice to investors wading into the new market, helping with everything from communicating the benefits of the tax breaks to government relations.

“My goal is to let the investors and fund managers focus on what they really do: raising capital and doing due diligence on deals,” Glickman said in an interview Tuesday.

Hi, I'm Jimmy Atkinson... I founded OpportunityDb in August 2018. I'm a veteran Internet entrepreneur with a background in economics and Web marketing. I previously founded ETFdb.com. These days, I am passionate about impact investing and tax-advantaged investment opportunities. At the crossroads of these two ideals is the opportunity zones program, a place-based tax policy intended to economically transform some of the poorest areas of the United States with new real estate and business development.
