GRASS OZ Fund Acquires Nevada Airport

The GRASS QOF announced that it has acquired the Tiger Field airport in Lyon County, Nevada. Tiger Field was a public use airport owned by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management located south of the city of Fernley.

GRASS plans to develop the airfield by improving the current facilities, building modern aircraft hangars, and developing a drone center.

GRASS has other investments in the aviation field, including SAMSARG and General Aviation Hangars. SAMSARG secures high-tech hangar facilities while General Aviation provides construction of hangars adjacent to SAMSARG facilities.

The focus on aviation is just one unique aspect of this QOF; it also allows investments as small as $1,000. Most opportunity zone funds have much larger investment minimums; GRASS initiated a Reg A+ funding round in June 2021 and meets the requirements of a Qualified Small Business Stock (“QSBS”).
