Honokea OZ Fund

The Honokea Surf Village is a 20-acre mixed-use wellness destination on west Oahu’s leeward shores just minutes from Disney’s Aulani, Koolina Four Seasons, and Wai Kai by Haseko. The project features a retail, hospitality, F&B and attraction and membership revenue streams overlooking a variety of skill and adventure based recreation including a seven acre surf lagoon, lifestyle beach environment and Olympic development training opportunities for 5 other sports. The developments wave technology is a proven profit center that will serve as the sites major visual amenity. The site lies within an opportunity zone and rural development area. The developer has secured an ENA with the State in 2021 after a four year public process and has just received $95 Million in special purpose revenue bond authority through a bill passed this legislative session demonstrating the States support for this project. The project has another $30M in federally guaranteed debt and is raising $25M in equity in two rounds. The entire project is designed to maximize social and community impact by creating over 200 local jobs, being a platform for local retailers, the local surf manufacturing industry and film industries. It encourages healthy living through food, activity, family and sports. The project partners with local educational organizations to encourage progressive educational opportunities in engineering, sustainability, wellness, medicine, entertainment and hawaiian surf history.
